About King Kebab House

Our founder

Chef Mevlana Cifci has been serving delicious Turkish food to Sydney’s foodies for almost 20 years. His eatery was among the most popular in Auburn, the home for Sydney’s Turkish-cuisine.

In 2015 Mevlana decided to take his passion for serving delicious food to the community to a new level. With that he took the leap and founded “King Kebab House” located on 171-179 Queen St, Campbelltown.

Despite having other kebab shops in the area, the good folk of Campbelltown welcomed, embraced and fell in love with, King Kebab House and its legendary cuisine.

The famous HSP pilgrimage

In 2015, five foodies from Sydney, started the “Halal Snack Pack Appreciation Society” (HSPAS) facebook group which gained over 100 thousand members. HSPAS made a list of Sydney HSP spots that get the best ratings. King Kebab House came in at number one.

The fame of King Kebab House’s delicious food, generous portions and friendly service reached beyond Campbelltown and Sydney.

Halal Snack Pack lovers organised a pilgrimage of thousands to King Kebab House in March 2016, and Labour senator Sam Dastyari even gave a rave review of King Kebab House’s halal snack pack in a speech to parliament a few days later.

Today, we at King Kebab House, pride ourselves on ‘Australia’s “BEST” halal snack pack’ and we have been featured by many newspapers, magazines, blogs and social media influencers.
